Most days see me juggling a few hats that include wedding and lifestyle photographer, family and youth advocate and family man. I find it hard to just sit with one thing and am always looking for something that will be my next challenge, my next little project.
Carla (my spectacularly patient wife) and I travelled for about 5 years before children and this experience continues to shape the way that I experience life. Things outside my comfort zone excite me. I feel like I need to find opportunities that will push my boundaries and help me to see things in a different light.
This is also the way that I see my photography. I am always looking for ways to create images that convey emotion, connection and tell their own story. Image after image I persist and find ways to develop connected images that make people smile.
“I’m a photographer, advocate, father and husband. Obsessed with music, strong flavours and telling stories that amend unhelpful judgment.”
My world of music and books
“I feel you can tell most of what a person is like by understanding their favourite books and songs. Here are two below with a short description and my favourite line.”
Isolation – Joy Division
About reaching after the impossible – “But if you could just see the beauty, these things I could never describe.”
Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland – Lewis Carroll
Down the rabbit hole (1865) – “It’s no use going back to yesterday, because I was a different person then.”
